President Donald Trump had reportedly sent US senator Tulsi Gabbard on a fact-finding mission in Syria and wanted to know if President Assad would cooperate with the US in defeating ISIS.     Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar’s de facto leader, has rejected UN calls for an investigation into the plight of the so-called Rohingya ethnic minority in the country. Violence irrupted in the Arakan province in October 2016 when Jihadi terrorists attacked a police checkpoint along the Bangladeshi border, killing nine policemen.
